This collection contains death records pertaining to the Lithuanian-Jewish (Litvak) population during the Russian Empire and the period of independent Lithuania between the years 1808 and 1940. Records typically include the name of the deceased, age at the time of death, place of residence, date and place of death, the names of the parents and the name of the spouse. Danielis Dolskis was a popular Lithuanian singer noted in pre-revolutionary Russia and in inter-war Lithuania. He sang in Saint Petersburg until 1917. He also performed in Moscow, Odessa, and Kyiv. In 1929, Dolskis moved to Kaunas, Lithuania, where he performed in restaurants.
